Written and directed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Zora Howard in her directorial debut, “Hang Time” is a profoundly moving and provocative work that demands to be seen. “Hang Time” offers a poignant glimpse into the inner worlds—the great loves and deep sorrows—of Black men in America. Juxtaposing the romantic with the macabre, the film challenges viewers to envision the living Black body rising triumphantly over the violence ingrained in its history.
