Event Summary

Cultural Coalition is excited to announce the  9th Annual El Puente Festival, a live stream event featuring some of Arizona’s most talented artists. On May 23, 2021 at 2 p.m., virtual attendees will be treated to a variety of pre-recorded performances, including dance troupes and music ensembles from local Valley schools. A free multi-cultural experience for the whole family.

A unique festival dedicated to making connections, El Puente, the Spanish word for bridge, brings people together by sharing diverse music, dance, art, and cultural traditions.

NEW THIS YEAR, the festival focuses on the connection between generations, highlighting cultural performances by multiple youth groups of all ages and backgrounds.

Festival of filmed performances include:

  • Children’s art and game activities.
  • Dance performances by Quetzalli Ballet Folklórico, Indigenous Enterprise, Ollin Yoliztli Dance Academy and Primavera Dance Company.
  • Music performances by Kyrene Middle School Mariachi, Corona del Sol Steel Drum Band, Desert Sounds Mariachi, Harmony Project Youth Group, and Mariachi Rubor.
  • Storytelling with Violet Duncan, author.
  • A parade of oversized puppets, musicians, and masked performers, including the Fabulous Fridas!
