“Light Lane” in Downtown Tempe

Give art a spin! The City of Tempe Public Art program presents LeMonde Studios’ “Light Lane,” an inviting art installation coming to Downtown Tempe from April 3-30. “Light Lane,” an art installation of nine stationary bicycles will activate Downtown Tempe with light and sound when powered by pedaling. Featuring artist-designed imagery and a distinct soundtrack from the sounds of Tempe Playlist musicians, “Light Lane” is a truly local experience.
Event Details:
Sets of three bikes will be located at three different locations: Center Pointe Plaza, the Mill Avenue U.S. Post Office and just north of the historic Andre Building on Fourth Street and Mill Avenue. Bikes will be available for free to the public 24/7.
Featuring art projections by: Jake Early, Chris Jagmin and Shachi Kale
Featuring local music from Tempe Playlist artists: Bad Cactus Brass Band, Bogan Via, Cheap Hotels, Danielle Durack, Miguel Melgoza, One Way Sky, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, Pijama Piyama, Prime Society, Saraswathi Jones, Solh and Tindal Muzic
