Each year, 4th of July weekend is the perfect summer holiday for celebrating the season with friends and family. Whether your holiday weekend plans include barbecue, cocktails, pools or fireworks, we have the scoop on Independence Day events that you won’t want to miss out on.

4th of July Weekend Events in Tempe

July 4: The 73rd Annual Tempe 4th of July Celebration
Tempe Beach Park | 80 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281

The City of Tempe, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Tempe, invites you to celebrate Independence Dat at the Tempe’s 73rd annual 4th of July celebration. This year, the festivities return to Tempe Town Lake from 4 to 10 p.m., and will include live entertainment, a variety of food vendors, games, inflatables and a rock-climbing wall in the family fun zone, photo ops and fireworks display over the lake.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and live music begins at 5 p.m. The National Anthem will be performed at 9:15, followed by the fireworks display.

Please note: This is a ticketed event. General admission is $12; children under 10 are free with a paid parent/guardian. VIP admission is also available for $100, and includes shaded and seating areas as well as specialty food and drinks.

July 6: Red White and Brew Bar Crawl
Fat Tuesday, 680 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, AZ 85281

Gather your friends, don your stars and stripes and prepare for an epic evening of patriotic festivities and themed drinks, throughout Downtown Tempe’s Mill Avenue. Continue your 4th of July celebration as you sip your way from one venue to the next. Each bar will greet you with unique drink specials for toasting to freedom and good times. Be sure to grab your tickets in advance. Tickets include:

  • Pub crawl wristband for free entry into participating bars
  • Custom digital pub crawl map
  • One shot and one taco
  • Generous drink specials and themed drinks
  • Select food specials
  • Live music/bands/DJs at certain venues

4th of July Weekend Events throughout Greater Phoenix

July 4: All-American Festival, Peoria
Peoria Sports Complex | 16101 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria, AZ 85382

Peoria’s annual All-American Festival returns to Peoria Sports Complex from 6 to 9 p.m. This celebration includes live music by The Spazmatics, family-friendly entertainment, more than 25 food and drink vendors, carnival-style and outdoor games, and spectacular fireworks. The event will span across the Peoria Sports Complex’s Main Stadium and a sensory room will be available in the Visitor’s Clubhouse.

July 4: Arizona Celebration of Freedom, Mesa
Mesa Convention Center in Downtown Mesa | 263 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ 85201

The Arizona Celebration of Freedom is free and open to all ages from 6 to 10 p.m. Spend the evening in Downtown Mesa to enjoy a patriotic car show, live entertainment, food vendors, activities and fireworks display at approx. 9:30 p.m.

July 4: All-American Bash, Chandler
Dr. A.J. Chandler Park: Stage Plaza | 178 E. Commonwealth Ave., Chandler, AZ 85225

Celebrate 4th of July in Downtown Chandler with live music, yard games, food vendors and more. Cold Shott and the Hurricane Hornswill perform two 60-minute sets for the crowd to enjoy and rock out to (7:05 to 8:05 p.m. and 8:25-9:25 p.m.). This year, there will be a 5-minute pyrotechnic show as part of the concert. 

July 4: Gilbert 4th of July Celebration, Gilbert
Gilbert Regional Park | 3005 E. Queen Creek Road, Gilbert, AZ 85298

Join the City of Gilbert for the 2024 Gilbert 4th of July Celebration presented by Earnhardt Auto Group and Haydon Building Corp. This free, family-friendly event, which takes place from 4 to 9:30 p.m., feature live music performances, food and drink vendors, aerial entertainment, drone show and fireworks. VIP experience upgrades available.

July 4: Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration at WestWorld, Scottsdale
WestWorld | 16601 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85260

Scottsdale’s 11th annual 4th of July celebration takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at WestWorld. Festivities include live performances, parade of heroes, bull riding, an indoor backyard barbecue, slider-eating contest, family friendly games and so much more — with the largest fireworks display in Scottsdale’s history scheduled for 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through here. This is a cashless event.

July 4: Star Spangled 4th, Goodyear
Goodyear Ballpark | 1933 S. Ballpark Way, Goodyear, Arizona 85338

Celebrate Independence Day at Goodyear’s Star Spangled 4th. This celebration, which takes place from 6 to 10 p.m.) includes live bands, food and drink vendors, bounce houses and a mesmerizing patriotic fireworks show. Attendance, activities, and parking are free.

July 4 : Fabulous Phoenix 4th, Phoenix
Steele Indian School Park | 300 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012

The annual Fabulous Phoenix 4th returns to Steele Indian School Park for 2024. From 6 to 10 p.m., this free, non-alcoholic family event attracts thousands of attendees eager to spectate as one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southwest — more than 7,800 aerial effects — dazzles the Phoenix night sky. Food and beverage vendors, arts and crafts, and promotional items will also be a part of. the festivities. ATMs will not be available.
